Ben Carpenter opened Fifth Monroe in 2017 after working in the estate planning and wealth management arena since 2002, including as an attorney at international law firms in Atlanta (King & Spalding) and Minneapolis (Dorsey & Whitney) and as a Managing Director at Ascent Private Capital Management, a multi-family office for high net worth individuals.  Ben enjoys working with young couples just getting started to retired executives with complex estate tax issues, and he draws on his experiences from each of his previous roles to combine technical expertise with a practical perspective on the long-term impacts of estate planning and wealth succession.  Ben also serves as the board chair of a local Young Life chapter and enjoys spending time with his family, reading, cross county skiing, and coaching his kids' youth sports.
